Pesticides Bylaw (sponsored by TorontoPublic Health)

On April of 2004, a new City of Toronto bylaw came into effect restricting the use of pesticides on public and private properties. The City has been providing the public with educational materials on the health and environmental benefits of this bylaw. Public education also includes various naturalized gardening methods. Stormwater Pollution Management (sponsored by City of Toronto)

When it rains in Toronto, a lot of it falls on the roof of your house where it flows to the eavestrough, then down the downspouts and directly into the sewer system.
